bought these over an year ago, never had any problems as yet. they perform very well and I've notice that speakers of this type shouldn't be over driven too much. If volume is kept at a moderate level these work exceptionally well

These speakers are a huge disappointment, especially for Altec Lansing. I would rather have them turned off and listen to nothing instead of having to deal with the horrific static and distortion
