KitchenAid 5KEK1722BOB 1.7L Jug Kettle - Onyx Black

Brought this kettle thinking it's expensive but probably worth the price wrong after a few months couldn't get the lid to open as spring loaded so had to fill through the spout all the time then before the manufacture guarantee had run out it died on...

Unfortunately after 2 days use the lid does not Spring open so now have to fill with water through spout . Extremely disappointed. The box went into recycling so cannot return

I have had my new kettle for about a month now and I am very happy with it. I did have a similar one but it gave up the ghost so looked for one with the features as stated. I do think it is on the expensive side for a kettle though.
