Navman's latest top-of-the-range GPS unit boasts a capacitive touch screen and a new user interface
Design, capacitive touch screen, choice of glide or tap interfaces, keyword search, traffic capabilities, lane guidance and 3D junction views
Overzealous school zone alerts, map is missing red light cameras and 'no right turns', screen transitions are a little sluggish, not all phones compatible with Bluetooth, TMC antenna is built into charger not the actual unit
The Navman MY500XT's capacitive touch screen is a nice inclusion on this feature-packed GPS. The glide interface won't be to everyone's liking but it's much more responsive than previous versions and can now be turned off. The maps aren't perfect and...

FM transmitter now more Mohammed Ali than Steve Urkel. Clean map screen. Capacitive screen less error prone. Keyword destination search.
Glass screen glare-prone, psychedelic with sunnies on. Music selection painful. Bluetooth data connection impossible. 3D landmarks annoying.

Navman has set a new standard in in-car navigation with its MY500XT. Not only does this GPS take you from point A to B; it also has a lot of features that will make travelling a breeze. It is now time to explore your city and enjoy the road ahead.
Responsive screen; Built-in traffic receiver; Weather updates; Local Search; Travel Book; Easy location search; Quick route calculation; 3D Junctions and Landmarks; FM Transmitter
In-car charger must be constantly plugged/unplugged; Bluetooth pairing problems with some mobile phones; Some instances when unit slowed down during pedestrian mode; No case to protect your GPS

It's no secret that I found the Navman S200 appallingly irritating. So you can imagine my trepidation when I was accosted by a charming PR person (do they come in other flavours?), bubbling about the new Navman range, now with integrated traffic...

Navman has added to the glut of in-car GPS navigation systems with the release of the MY500XT
Like other in-car navigation devices the MY500XT attaches to the windscreen with a suction cup and can be charged via the USB port on a computer or powered from the car's cigarette lighter
