Don't take a step into the wilderness without this baby

Rugged design, accurate location and speed capability, expandable memory, Vantage Point software

Steep learning curve, some reception difficulties, odd USB connection design

The Triton 400 provides the perfect companion for travelling and hiking. It doesn’t offer the luxuries of Magellan’s more expensive models, but it provides the necessities for successful travel at a fairly reasonable cost.

After a colaps of my Triton 200 europe Magellan did sent my the 500 without map. After contact with Magellan they sent my a link for down-loading a europe map, but it is a water-map and no walking map. Now Magellan don't support the europe market any...

Got this as a present for the wife. Followed all the instructions out of the box but it crashed while attached to my computer. Now won't function at all. Will be exchanging it tomorrow for a Garmin.

f and when I get used to the Triton 400, I may change my rating, but thus far it is a very difficult device to start using with little knowledge of waypoints, geocaches, etc. The instructions on how to use the thing are pitiful for a novice
