D is for data, V is for voice. For some reason this is not made really clear. Data is for everything except voice. You only need "V" is if you want to add an extension telephone somewhere.

If the model V (voice) was clearly shown as an option, it would save us and Newegg some headaches. I'd also expect to pay a couple of bucks more for the cleaner signal, which should make a little extra for Newegg.

Read the specs on any item. If it doesn't say it can extend DSL lines then it can't do it, DUH.

Does seem to interfere with my wireless apparatus, WiFi and alarm

I bought this to hook up a printer/fax machine. The outlet was on the other side of the room. This was so easy to use. highly recommend.

My wife installed while I was at work, played as adertised. had an RCA installed before by the Dishnetwork installer that didn't work at all. This model is GREAT.

It works just as advertised. We are using it to connect our dish network boxes in rooms that do not have phone jacks. No problems for over a 1 1/2 years.

I got it so I didn't have to pay $5 a month for not connecting it to a phone line from dish network. Followed the instructions and got it working in less than 5 mins. I definitely would recommend it to anyone.
