Great Deal

 

Highly recommend Wash rice in pot until water is clear For medium white rice: Use 1.5 cups water for every cup rice. After rice is finished (on warm) wait 5 min and then pull out plug Rice is ready in about 5 min and this minimizes cleanup

Cooks rice very well! Stainless steel pot is probably healthier.

Buyer Beware!!

 

My thoughts are why didn't I read all the reviews instead of buying in haste? May be I expected Newegg not to be selling such a defective product.

The cook button does not light up when you push the start lever down. It did cook the rice the first couple of times. The only way to find out if its working is by touching the exterior after a while. Now it has totally stopped working and we had this...

Don't buy this

 

I wish I would have read the other reviews on here, I wouldn't have bought it

Made one batch of rice and burned it. Then it just stopped working. No longer powered on, completely unusable.

Tatung Rice Cooker

 

Nice Stainless Steel pot. Customer service was excellent. Fast replacement.

Unit stopped working first day. Unable to remove pot lid to clean.

The stainless pot cleans up easily if you soak it for five minutes.

It's Below Average

 

Well unfortunately I can cook rice better than this machine with my non stick saucepan with it's lid that does not have any vent holes. You can buy a decent sized Non Stick Saucepan with a sealed lid for about the same money of some of these rice...

The sale price of $20 is a pro.

The inner pot where the rice goes is stainless steel and not, non-stick coated. Adding Olive Oil will help but non stick would be better. The rice cooker is more designed for white rice like jasmine rice or basmati rice but not brown rice. Brown rice...

A simple rice cooker that does its job.

 

I bought it because it has a stainless steel inner pot. Otherwise it's a simple rice cooker that does its job. I have been using it every day for the last 3 months.

None so far.

Not as good as before

 

I used to have one which worked for about 2 years and it didn't work anymore so I bought another one. The second one looks almost exactly the same as the first one but has a bad quality. That small container used to hold the steamed water can't be...

It can get the job done. It can cook rice.

Build quality is not good. There was a dent when I first received it. The water holder won't attach.
