Sharp R-1874 Review

 

The Sharp R-1874 over the range microwave offers convection cooking, sensor cooking and ventilation for a price comparable to similar models. However, it has less interior capacity, less cooking power and less venting power than the best microwave ovens.

The sensor and convection cooking options increase the variety of food you can cook in your microwave.

The interior capacity is relatively small.

This over the range convection microwave has less space and less power than similar models, but it still boasts impressive features.

Sharp...good but not like previous

 

I guess I had expectations from previous year 1999 Sharp Carousel that was flawless. I opted for stainless but funny, prints and food are too obvious. Disappointed no charcoal filter (I don't vent out). Part is about $14 w/sh on net (more or less)....

Fits where old Sharp was over the range. Prettier. Slick. Overall happy. Next home owner should enjoy it. Haven't tried Convection yet.

No filter included. It was in the 13yr old model it replaced. It is now an accessory! RK-220. Still uses an incandescent rather than LED bulb! Really. PITA to install. Previous had mount you can, as one person, install on, slide back then bolt. This...
