We chose Daikin as we had had a smaller model installed in the previous home we built. However, it was not until this arrived (and the size of it) and installed that we were to discover the noise levels - there is no difference between day and night...

It definately does its job, but every time the compressor kicks in it is like an aeroplane taking off. I've had the installer and daikin out twice but they advise I just have to live with it, it is the way it operates. SO, if having a loud compressor...
