CM Storm QuickFire Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

Mechanical keyboards are the latest rage in peripherals today. It's time to see how the CM Storm QuickFire Pro stands up to the flood of competition.

Amazing keyboard, terrible RMA process

My next mechanical will probably be without a 10-key and fully back-lit.

Keyboard feels amazing. The MX brown switches are a perfect balance between reds and blues. The keyboard and the keys feel super sturdy and have proven to be very accurate. I type much faster on this keyboard

I thought I'd be okay with the partial backlighting, but it really leaves me wanting more ; The P key on my board stopped working after little over a year. Thankfully it was under warranty... except for the fact that it took them ***6 months*** to ship...

Solid, but with flaws

5 stars if the Enter key hadn't stopped working.

Outstanding mechanical switches. Light for a mechanical keyboard, but still very sturdy and much heavier than your average rubber dome keyboard. $55 after MIR - great price. Partial LED backlighting makes for a unique visual aesthetic

Enter key stopped working 5 months into its lifespan. Processed an Advanced RMA through Coolermaster (waiting on the replacement to arrive) without issue

Good, but terrible design

Great keyboard, but I will be picking up another soon. Not sure what I'll get quite yet, but it won't be CM Storm.

It's a great keyboard. I love the way it feels. I've tried a lot of other mechanical keyboards and this one feels the best to me. I like that only a section is backlit. Great for gaming and for programming

Terrible, awful, ABYSMAL design. The general layout of the keyboard is solid. It's the USB cable that's the hassle. Having a separate connecting mini-usb cable is an awful idea to begin with, but the area on the bottom of the keyboard where it plugs in;...

One of the Best Mechanical Keyboard

Full backlighting would make this an exceptional hardware

Still working good. No complain since purchase

Terrible Customer Service

This is a good solid keyboard, when it works

When it doesn't it's the most frustrating thing to deal with. Mine broke within 2 month's use so I used my warranty and sent it back, received it back within a week and turns out the left alt key is broken so I call them again. I get promised that I...

I have red switches.

I'd buy another one of these, probably the newer full lit ones, I was displeased when mine broke. My spare keyboard is a real piece :'(

This was an awesome keyboard when it worked. I have the red switches on the one i purchased, but couldn't find it again on here, this is the same model, just different switches, so i felt my review would be best here

Just recently the keys on my keyboard started to light up to full brightness on their own, and won't allow me to adjust the settings, also two whole columns of keys stopped working (4,r,f,v,5,t,g,b) they seem to do random commands like shut off my...

Great Keyboard for the Price

This is a really nice mechanical keyboard for the price. I love the brown cherry switches for typing and gaming. However, keep in mind that it has not hand rest, and it is a thick keyboard. I will have to find one to use, and typically these are a pain...

Price. Some backlighting. Expanded keyboard, Nice feel when typing

No hand-rest (and it's a thick keyboard). Keys seem to be positioned differently than my last keyboard

Too many compromises

I can see that this could be a 4 or 5 egg rating if all the features worked fine and I had no bios issues and no RMA and overcharge issues. However, I cannot rate this board higher than a 2 because of all the unresolved issues and the money that I feel...

You get all the nice mechanical keyboard benefits. Feedback, durability... umm, repairability

First board had something wrong with the internal memory and the function buttons, (all the media keys in my case) so I couldn't use the volume or play and pause buttons, but the back lighting worked fine. (Which I never ever use because it is dumb and...
