The handle drops for easy storage. There is a flexible hose and fitting for under beds. There is a tangle free attachment for stairs.

Lightweight easy to store Great performance

Performs well on carpet (good suction) and is light enough to carry around.

Assembly and use instructions could be improved -currently trying to remove the 'wand' in order to fit the hose extension for vacuuming high up.

Extra long lead means I don't have to keep stopping and moving to the next socket. I can even get into the bedrooms whilst still being plugged in down stairs.

Suction initially was so strong I couldn't move the machine on some carpets. This was quickly adjusted by Dyson engineer.

Picks up well

Cheap plastic, hard to put the cylinder back on, clogs easily. Been using a dyson for years and I must say that the quality has gone down. I purchased the dc40 to replace my dc25 which I had for about 7 years. I am very disappointed with this machine.
