ZTE Avid Trio

 

The ZTE Avid Trio is an affordable prepaid phone for T-Mobile with 4G LTE and a long-lasting battery, but weak hardware limits its capabilities.

Affordable. Long-lasting removable battery. Expandable storage. Good network performance. Solid call quality.

Low-resolution screen. Sluggish performance. Lackluster camera. Dated software. Paltry internal storage.

The Trio comes running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with an almost-stock UI. It's a very dated version of Android, but that may be for the best because you don't have much internal storage to work with.

ZTE Avid 4G (MetroPCS) review: Despite LTE, speed and call quality disappoint

 

Despite its rather enthusiastic and optimistic name, the ZTE Avid 4G isn't a phone to write home about.

The ZTE Avid 4G has LTE connectivity, runs on Android 4.0, and requires no contract.

The Avid 4G's display can be unresponsive and it has a noticeably blue tint; call quality is mediocre; and the phone's processor is slow.

Though the Avid features Ice Cream Sandwich and operates on MetroPCS 4G network, the carrier has other LTE devices that are faster, smoother, and sometimes, even cheaper.

The ZTE Avid 4G brings you a high-res screen and fast processor for a low price, but its quality isn't great.

High-res display for this price. Fast performance. Stock Android 4.0.

Extremely dim screen. Poor cameras. Limited storage.

Multimedia and Conclusions The Avid 4G comes with two awful cameras. Technically, there's a 5-megapixel camera on the back and a VGA camera on the front, but numbers never tell the whole story. The autofocus lag feels nearly endless at 1.5 seconds....

The call quality is excellent- the ringer volume is fine- same as any other phone. The Ice Cream Sandwich is neat- the unlimited data text and talk -and 4G- are a blast! Unlimited! Good speeds on data 2-6 megs down in Philadelphia. The phone is slimmer...

Camera with Led flash and autofocus is main attraction in this phone.

No cons at all.
