T-Mobile Vivacity review

There's no denying that for its latest budget Android smartphone, T-Mobile has turned on the style. It's not hard to see where it got its inspiration from, with the squared-off body, glossy black rear and thing metal strip more than a little...

It's a little tacky to look at and hold, but this budget smartphone has a decent specification and the 480x800 screen is great

T-Mobile Vivacity Review: In Depth

The T-Mobile Vivacity (actually made by ZTE) is an attractively priced touchscreen phone that looks a lot like an Apple iPhone 4. Available for a fraction of the price of an Apple phone, the Vivacity…

Very low price ; Compact design ; Looks a lot like an iPhone 4

Not the best camera ; Sometimes difficult to text on ; No Flash support

A phone from a service provider, not I think unique but certainly most seem to come from third party companies, often a phone – for a period anyway – are only available from a single provider, here the Vivacity from T-Mobile .

T-Mobile Vivacity review

At least part of the phenomenal success of Google's Androidoperating system is due to its versatility. Unlike Apple's iOS orthe latest mobile incarnation of Windows, it's available for phonesat all price ranges, from the extreme high end whence...

Good range of features for budget price, Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread,5 megapixel camera

Screen could be more sensitive, casing feels a bit cheap

The T-Mobile Vivacity is a well-equipped budget Android with abetter than expected camera and a good range of features. Thescreen could have been a bit more responsive, but otherwise, it's abargain.

T-Mobile Vivacity

The T-Mobile Vivacity is the network's first bash at the 'high-end' Android market, and a fuchsia-branded version of the Orange San Francisco 2. Can the handset prove as popular as its Everything Everywhere partner's debut San Francisco handset, or is...

Overall, we were pretty impressed with the T-Mobile Vivacity. For 100 quid you'll struggle to find another phone with a 5MP camera and capacitive touchscreen, and it's a fantastic phone for smartphone newbies. However, if you're willing to spend more...

T-Mobile Vivacity Review

The T-Mobile Vivacity is a good-looking iPhone 4 clone, which is slightly let down by its sluggish touch-screen

The look of an iPhone 4 at a quarter of the price; good camera with some decent editing options; clarity and brightness from the WVGA display

Body is rather lightweight; onscreen keyboard is sluggish in use

The T-Mobile Vivacity’s main rivals are the Orange San Francisco II and the Huawei Vision. The Vivacity wins hands-down on the design front (even if it is a clone), and the snapper and browser are fabulous for this kind of price. However, the sluggish...

T-Mobile Vivacity review

The other week I bought the new T-Mobile branded Vivacity. It is a repacked ZTE Crescent and also a variant of the Orange San Francisco 2. I have been using it as my main device since then. My main problem

Cheap, only fifty squids with a tenors airtime! Has lots on it for the price. Calls are clear when you can get through - see below. Screen is very reasonable. Camera is ditto.

Bad, bad coverage with the my network. Now they have rebranded and somehow messed up reception, coverage is awful! A trifle slow at times and Internal memory rather low. But hey, this device makes calls, texts,is a SatNav, camera,mp3 player, video...
