Sanyo Juno SCP-2700 review

Messaging phones have become the latest cell phone trend to sweep the country, as all four national carriers now carry some kind of full QWERTY handset made primarily for sending out texts and e-mails. The latest manufacturer to jump on the bandwagon...

The Sanyo SCP-2700 is slim and lightweight, with a great keyboard and an easy-to-use interface. It offers extensive messaging support, including support for corporate e-mail. It's also very affordable.

The Sanyo SCP-2700 has poor photo quality, and the e-mail syncing could be improved.

With its great messaging interface and affordable pricing, the Sanyo SCP-2700 offers excellent bang for your buck.

A basic phone with acceptable performance

A basic phone that offer basic features. Among its peers it's not worst but still only rises to the level of mid-pack.

Reliable Cheap Keypad allows for easy one handed texting Intuitive menu system Browser is better than expected Battery life is above average

Email syncing was iffy, at best. Sometimes it would be instant sometimes emails wouldn't register until hours later. The camera is of such terrible quality that it's not really usable unless in direct sunlight. No video support, external storage

good phone.

This Phone is a great phone for Text messaging and calling friends and family, it's a simple but cue phone with a fairly ok camera that i like. its been a good phone for me.

This phone is a nice text messaging phone, it fits well in your hands or pocket, great for 3way calling and great if your using Facebook.

sometimes easy to slip out of your hands if you have no phone case and for websites other than Facebook and Google it can be a bit tricky also cannot play youtube videos.

"Has know problems with charging port."

I got about 5 months of use and then had to go through the hassle of having to provide documents and packaging and cost to send back. I would not buy this cell if I knew that they have problems with the charging ports. Not recommended.

I actually like the functionally of the phone. For calls and texting it is/was great.

The charger port stopped working after 5 months(I'm not the first user that this has happened to). I spent too much time tracking down, calling (on hold) then talking to tech support.

A lot of dropped calls. The battery is bad. This is the worst phone ever when it comes to reception and battery life. It has been a good phone to take pictures, But that is all. I would never buy one like it again.
