Logitech Harmony 510 review

The Logitech Harmony 510 is the replacement for the Harmony 520 , which is being discontinued. Except for a slightly different color scheme (silver on black instead of black on silver) and the addition of four color-coded buttons below the keypad, it's...

PC-programmable universal remote; Windows and Mac compatible; activity- and device-based control; strong backlight.

Only controls five devices; two nearly identical Harmony models have more buttons and control more devices; numeric keypad buttons are too small and grouped too closely together; Web-based interface might intimidate nontechie users.

The Logitech Harmony 510 is a good PC-programmable universal remote, but you should opt for one of the two nearly identical Harmony models instead.

1 year and going strong

GLOW button to selectively glow the buttons when you need to for a few seconds. Can use multiple millisecond pauses in the programming so that it sends the signal at the right time to certain devices like, let's say, you turn the TV, A/V receiver and...

Great, great value. Bought the 510 Refurbished and couldn't be happier. Batteries last us a long time. I think I have only changed them once in the year we had this. And only because we thought it might be getting less sensitive. It is pretty good...

FF and SKIP and Pause buttons arrows are wearing but it gets used HEAVILY! Numeric buttons are small and close together but it's not a crying shame

great, BUT

bought another and the 2 yr svce contract....still a good deal for a $59 total

Handles my TV, VCR, DVD player, AV receiver and cable box ; in the convoluted hook-up that I have ; It's light-weight and durable, but for

1 day after the Manufacturere's 90-day warranty....Does not like coffee at all....even if just a drop falls on it and it's allowed to dry out ; It continues to work after a fashion but looses the activities key and only functions in "devices" mode when...

Good Remote

I had the Logitech 1000 and hated the remote, would reboot on me, lock up, send the code mutli-times. I stopped using that and just used the remote that came with my Cable box, got tired of manual switching to my game system and my media box that I...

Responds fast, lets me controls all my devices, even my media box. Also like how this low price remote still allows you to "learn" IR codes

only supports 5 devices, which is ok for right now. Not sure if this was my error, or something with the remote, but when i had the Logitech 1000 I was able to set up "Play Game" without a game device, but this remote i have to put a device, either a...

Love it

With my Sony tv it changes inputs the way it should, and sets everything up perfect

With my old TV it would have to change inputs one by one and most of the time the tv would miss one of the signals from the remote messing up, ending up on HDMI 1 when I wanted it to be on HDMI 2... But that is at no fault to the remote but to the TV....

Nice Remote

Made a believer out of me!

Does what it is supposed to do and is fairly easy to program. This is my first universal remote and it took a little getting used to, but after tweaking it a little it now runs my home theater, blu-ray, tv, satellite box and xbox without any problems....

Not sure if this is a con yet, but I put fresh batteries in the unit before using it and had to replace them after three months (which was a little surprising). Maybe I had a bad batch of batteries, but I'm going on my 5th month of ownership and only...

Logitech Harmony 510 Advanced Universal Remote Control

I bought this to replace my Harmony 520 that broke, the button response is faster, it looks nicer, and I like green

only 5 devices, but I have 5

Awesome doesn't describe this remote. It is better than that.

This remote controls five different devices. It stopped my wife's complaints about what to turn on (or off) when she wants to watch a movie, or a dvd, or cable, or play a cd. Amazingly easy to program and use.

Easy programming. Incredibly easy to use

Very impressed

The PC/Mac interface is pretty slick. The "wizard" that walks you through setup is very intuitive. Word of caution: if you have older equipment you will have to fiddle with timing settings as the IR commands are usually too brief or too close to...

Bought one for me, one for my parents. It worked with all my very new stuff but, more impressive, it worked with my parents older home theater equipment from the late 80's and early 90's

My only complaint is PS3 support. You MUST buy a $50 adapter to get your PS3 working with any Harmony remote. I understand the PS3 doesn't have IR so you need to add an IR receiver, but $50? Really? I'm not sure if that is Logitech's fault or if Sony...
