Wimm One shows more brains than beauty

Flexible and very capable, the Android-powered Wimm One is a watch that pushes the mobile computing frontier.

The $199 ; is a very capable Android-powered smart watch that runs plenty of free apps. It sports a healthy assortment of watch faces, and additional software is available online. The device is stable and simple to set up.

The staid, prototype design of the Wimm One isn't for everyone. The device lacks a GPS radio and no additional accessories are available.

The Android-powered Wimm One from Wimm Labs isn't a looker, but this smart watch has the chops to satisfy your inner geek.

Runs Android for ease of development ; Display is fantastic in low-power mode ; Still looks like a watch, not a science experiment

Display not as great with backlight on ; Touchscreen glitchy at times ; App ecosystem is brand new

Long term, WIMM One holds great potential — but short term, it's the iPod nano's game to lose

WIMM One Wearable Android Device kit reviewed

You may wish that it got a lot slimmer and smaller than the ultra-thin phone we have and it has. It's gone into your wristwatch, the cellphone. With the WIMM One Wearable Android Device being revealed here, we have enough evidence that the wristwatch...
