Lux Geo thermostat review

Lux's $149 Geo thermostat, available in the US only, has a flexible design you can mount either horizontally or vertically. You also have the choice of a white or a black finish and the related app makes it easy to set a heating and cooling schedule,...

Set a geofencing radius and/or a recurring heating and cooling schedule with ease using the $149 Lux Geo thermostat's related app; you can mount the thermostat either horizontally or vertically.

The Lux Geo doesn't have any smart home partners, so don't expect it to work with Samsung SmartThings, Wink, IFTTT, Google Home, Apple HomeKit or Amazon Alexa.

Lux's Geo is a fine thermostat, but competing models from Honeywell, Ecobee and Emerson offer more features for roughly the same price.

Lux/Geo Wi-Fi Thermostat

The Lux/Geo Wi-Fi Thermostat offers plenty of scheduling options and uses geofencing to switch modes and control the climate at home based on your proximity.

Easy to install. Stylish design. Geofencing support. Mobile app and Web browser support. Lots of scheduling options.

Lacks remote room sensors. Does not support IFTTT.

Conclusions With the Lux/Geo Wi-Fi Thermostat you can control your home's heating and cooling system with your smartphone and create a schedule that adheres to Energy Star recommendations for conserving energy while maintaining a comfortable indoor...

Lux GEO BL Review

This Wi-Fi thermostat doesn't have a durable or modern design, but it performs well. It has just enough smart technology to streamline the temperature control in your home. Geofencing, as well as Home and Away modes, allow it to automatically adjust...

The LUX/GEO has geofencing.

It has a dated interface and cheap construction.

What the GEO lacks in panache it partially makes up for in overall performance and a generous warranty. It can regulate your home’s temperature and help you save money on utility bills.

Lux/Geo Wi-Fi Thermostat Review

Top-end next-generation smart thermostats aren't cheap. The latest-generation Nest and Ecobee thermostats, our two favorite, cost about $249 each; that's about $200 more than a generic non-smart programmable thermostat. The $179 Lux/Geo would seem like...

Geofencing feature ; Less expensive than Nest

Trickier installation than other smart thermostats ; Feels cheap ; Dated interface

While nearly $100 less than the Nest and Ecobee thermostats, the Lux/Geo isn’t the bargain smart thermostat it seems.

Обзор Wi-Fi термостата Lux/Geo

Обзор умного термостата для управления системами отопления и кондиционирования. Он дешевле популярных аналогов от Nest и Ecobee, но имеет ряд своих недостатков.
