I'm back with my second review on this product. As for the customer with the durability issue; I'm not sure what's up with him. Receivers are supposed to be put somewhere and stay there. If you can do that then you're okay. It does get hot the unit...

Very good unit for the price with bells and whistle. The acoustic adjusting microphone actually works. I would highly recommend

It seems the technical writer was on "crack" because the owners manual was confusing. But after tweeking the controls for a couple of hours I was able to figure it out

Buyer Beware

 

Sony customer service is HORRIBLE. I would recommend this unit to anyone if it wasn't for the service after the sale. Tech Support/Cust Service was a massive waste of time only to have to pay $30+ to ship it back to their service center after only...

Very good sound. Lot's of inputs

Build Quality. Mine broke after only 3 months. From what I have heard durability is an issue with Sony receivers

Better than I expected.

 

for 200 bones and free delivery, this reciever has exceeded my expectations. If I get 5 years out of it, I will have no complaints.

CHEAP! Extremely low noise and good range and power for the price

No on screen display. Extremely slow hdmi switching. Won't switch my laptop via hdmi- probably hdcp issue, but it could at least default to sd video and pass through the sound
