Amazon Fire TV Stick With Alexa Voice Remote

Amazon's Fire TV Stick is faster and less expensive than ever, and comes with an Alexa-enabled voice remote out of the box, making it the best budget-friendly media streamer you can buy.

Inexpensive. Comes with a voice remote. Voice search and Amazon Alexa are very useful. Fast performance.

Missing some notable streaming services.

If you want 4K support and a slightly better selection of streaming media services, the Roku Premiere+ is our Editors' Choice for 4K media streamers—but it's more than twice the price of the Fire TV Stick.

Amazon Fire TV Stick review: super streamer now with added Alexa

It may be small in size but this streamer is kind of a big deal

Lots of content ; Alexa works pretty well ; Skills are useful in front of the TV

You really need to have Prime ; Needs a charger ; No 4K

Amazon Fire TV Stick With Alexa Voice Remote review

Amazon's Alexa rules the home voice-tech world while rivals Google, Apple and Microsoft race to keep up . The giant retailer doesn't make phones ( anymore ), but it's building the talking digital assistant into devices beyond its blockbuster Echo and...

The $40 Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote is one of the least expensive devices to stream video from Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO, Sling TV and other online services. It's just as responsive as other devices, meaning it's lightning-fast, and...

The current user interface pushes Amazon content too aggressively. Alexa is less useful than with always-on devices. Unlike Roku there's no dedicated app for any other a la carte video service, like Vudu or Fandango Now, beyond Amazon's.

The fast, affordable new Fire TV stick is great for fans of Amazon who'll use its voice capabilities, and an excellent value, but it's still not as good as Roku.

Amazon Fire TV (2017) review: Alexa serves at the 4K HDR party

What the Fire TV offers is a way to plug a potential hole in your living room setup and it does so in a fun way that's easier to understand than

Compact ; Easy to use ; Great user interface ; Alexa aids searching and connectivity

Ethernet connection costs extra ; No Dolby Vision support (if that matters) ; Adds little to existing smart TVs ; No Dolby Atmos content

We can't fault Fire TV's redesign. Moving to be a more compact package is always good news, although the need to buy that Ethernet accessory sets it at a minor disadvantage to Chromecast Ultra. However, the addition of the Alexa remote, a stable and...

Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote review: The best media player under £40?

For a penny shy of £40, you really can't go wrong with the 2017 Amazon Fire TV Stick. Alexa looks like she's on cue to rule the world... even without

Alexa support on a TV device ; Quick at accessing content ; Great contextual text and voice search ; Good picture quality ; Excellent app integration and availability ; Doesn't require Echo

No 4K or HDR ; Few TV USBs will power it so you need to use the adapter

There's no doubt that there are better, more powerful media streamers in set-top-box form out there – Amazon's own

Amazon Fire TV Stick (2017) review

A brilliant, cheap streamer with added Alexa

Loads to watch ; Easy to set up ; Alexa works a treat

Cheaper alternatives are available ; Integrated search could be better

An ace streaming stick with a decent voice assistant. What’s not to like?

All-new Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote Review

Our review of the All-new Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote takes an in-depth look at Amazon's 2017 reboot of the original streaming stick.

Great price ; App selection growing ; Built-in Alexa ; App remote

Search could be better ; Basic performance

Amazon’s All-New Fire TV Stick with Alexa Remote isn’t an essential upgrade for existing Stick owners, as the performance is only marginally better and most of the new features are coming to the original Stick via updates.

Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote review: A peppier processor makes this streamer worthwhile

Picking the best low-cost media streamer just got a lot more complicated.

Home screen helps solve the "what to watch" dilemma ; The old hardware's more egregious performance woes are gone ; Alexa voice remote is included

Long load times and other performance hitches can occasionally annoy ; Search results still aren't informative enough ; Lack of Echo integration is a missed opportunity

Amazon’s first Fire TV Stick got a the last time we checked in on it, as rival devices had raised the bar for cheap media streamers.
