Navigon 7200T review

Navigon 7200T

The Navigon 7200T offers address entry via voice and 3D renderings of major landmarks. The GPS also features text-to-speech functionality, advanced lane assistance, and integrated Bluetooth.

The 7200T's voice command system is limited to address entry and requires some training. The user interface isn't as simple as a Garmin or TomTom unit.

Though the Navigon 7200T doesn't have cleanest user interface, the portable GPS offers plenty of advanced navigation features and accurate directions.

Navigon 7200T GPS Navigator

The good-looking Navigon 7200T is loaded with features, but at almost twice the price of the impressive 2200T, it's hardly a bargain.

Slick design. Reality View Pro and Lane Assistant Pro. 3D Landmarks. On-route exit POI guide. Included lifetime traffic subscription.

Relatively expensive. Small POI database. Voice-entry feature is underwhelming.

So what does spending an additional $220 over the cost of the 2200T get you? On the outside, you get the larger, 4.3-inch widescreen. On the inside you get maps for all 50 states, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands (the 2200T offers maps...

Navigon 7200T

Any TomTom, Magellan, or Mio device can tell you the way to San Jose, but only one company has made a mission of telling you what lane to be in. If you've ever risked a multi-car pileup by veering across several lanes at the last second, you know it's...

Navigon 7200T GPS Review

With prices of basic standalone PNDs (Personal Navigation Devices) racing to the bottom, and increasing threats from navigation apps on mobile devices, what's a company to do when they want to make a premium GPS device? If you're Navigon, and the PND...

Navigon 7200T review

The Navigon 7200T updates the Navigon 7100, adding 3-D buildings and a new interface. The 4.3″ wide screen navigator comes loaded with maps of the U.S. and Canada, and has text-to-speech, so you'll hear “in one mile, turn right onto Maple Street”...

Review: NAVIGON 7200T

We previously reviewed the entry-level 2000S from NAVIGON, which features a lot of bells and whistles but not all that NAVIGON has to offer. Now we've had a chance to play around with the top-of-the-line 7200T which features every feature that NAVIGON...

Navigon 7200T

When I started watching Navigon more closely a little over a year ago they looked like they certainly had what it took to make it in the North American market. A year later many players have exited the market, and Navigon remains– even stronger. Last...

Best In Show!!

Really people, take the time needed to use the advanced tech in this device. You cannot expect to get the most out of it if you just want to plug it in and go, until after you have learned how it works. RTM and you will be as happy as I am with it. I...

Great display, voice to text (I tell it where I want to go, and it takes me there), solid feel to it, mount is great, charges battery while in use. Free ACCURATE traffic updates for life (Seattle area works great). No problems with the memory card at...

Broken out of the box

This didn't sound like a unique issue to Navigon customer service so if you are siting on the fence between this an other product, just the chance of this happening to you to should push you over the edge to another company.

Don't know any yet, definitely not Navigon's customer service.

The device requires that you use the provided SD memory card to load maps and operate. The problem in my case is that right out of the box the memory card would not go in. The customer service rep sounded though she was new and kept trying to dump my...
