Excellent feature set. Easy to use. Built-in MP3 player. Great value.

Compass direction, bearing, and latitude/longitude could not be displayed on the map screen.

The combination of features, large screen size, and ease of use, coupled with a low price, make the iWAY 500C a sure winner.

LOWRANCE iWay 500c 5.0" GPS Receiver

Whats the deal with these GPS's having these dinky little screens? I don't get how they figure you're supposed to look at them while driving. My opinion is that they're worthless. Thats one thing that puts this one above the rest. a nice big screen....

I Bought this a number of years ago because I do a lot of driving for work. There were two main reasons I went with this one over the others. At its time of release it got all top awards and it had the biggest screen available. It has been a life saver...

Suction cup mount isn't that good. Kept moving no matter how tight I made it. This has nothing to do with the GPS unit though. I ended up custom fabricating my own mount

It never even made it to the car. It overheated a few times in the house when attached to the ac-adapter. The power adapter to the rear of the unit would not stay in. Several times the software just locked up. Slow boot. Poor reception on even out on...
