froze at least once a week. traffic was only accurate on freeways, but showed nothing about street traffic.

Turn info only when you are almost past turn off. No lane instructions. Really hate the semantics game Garmin plays regarding included free updates!

Beware!!! There is a difference between lifetime traffic update and lifetime map updates. The main reason I bought this was because I thought lifetime traffic update meant lifetime map update. Currently $89.95 extra from Garmin. That's more than I paid...

not what im used to

 

voice is loud, and directions are pretty decent.

the touch keyboard is written A-Z and not qwerty which makes things tough on the small screen. typing in an address should be a bit more intuitive, like my Android phone or even my 4 year old Magellan.

Lack of Information

 

It got here quick thanks to Newegg.

Arrived without an owners manual. The "Quick Start" manual gives minimal information. After downloading an owners manual from Garmin (pdf file) I was still hard put to figure out something as simple as the initial battery charge process and the time...

ROA (reboot on arrival)

 

Product arrived quickly and I was excited to receive it. However when I went to plug it into the computer via its USB cable, all it would do was reboot continuously. It would not power on or appear to hold a charge. It arrived on a Friday and continued...

Looks nice, small, supposedly has a bunch of great features.

Constantly reboots, never got to use the product because it never worked properly.

Tom Tom upgrade

 

The unit is a little small (just my opinion) However it does make it easy ti fit into even the most cluttered glove box or center console. I my case. I took out some of the metal from the large ash tray in my Jeep. When I park it just folds right up...

It is a Garmin, not a Dumb, Dumb. oh i am sorry I am supposed to type Tom, Tom. Take a look in my other thoughts. The Garmin had no Sat acquisition issues with my Poor Man's James Bond tinkering.

Totally my fault, i did not purchase mine from New Egg. Yes I did save a couple of bucks. (really it was not even enough for a few sodas out of the No Tell Hotel vending machine)

Works well in most places. Live traffic updates is a great feature that has come in very handy when traveling even if you are in your home town.

Occasionally gets confused between tall buildings in Pittsburgh but does ok in other locations. This probably has to do with the relative position of the satellites. The map that came with it has some streets on it that do not exist or may have existed...
