My Favorite Coffee Maker

 

I think DeLonghi did a pretty good job with this machine. Perhaps a stronger enamel paint on the warmer and a back lighted clock would make this machine is, in my opinion, be one of the best on the market.

The font loading is definitely the greatest feature. Never having to move the coffeemaker to fill is incredible. Best coffee, and I love my coffee, from any machine I have owned. Starbucks look out ; Carafe never drips, unless you try to pour too fast,...

Only two cons I have with this machine ; 1. there is no back light on the clock, making it difficult to see ; 2. the hot plate warmer is delaminating. or if you wish, the paint is peeling

Good Coffee - Weak Carafe

 

Overall a good buy for the price.

Excellent Tasting Coffee. Front Loading is Excellent. Easy to Clean. Coffee is perfect temp to drink immediately after brewing

On our third carafe for this coffee maker already. First one cracked while being washed in the top rack of the dish washer. Ok, maybe our fault. Second one shattered while being hand washed in hot water in the sink. Glass is very thin on the carafe

Bad deal

 

With service like this, retail stores do have a future

Used one day-it leaked and shorted out. Delonghi never responded to numerous E=Mails, and for the price of returning the item to new egg, I went to Walmart and got a B&?D with the same features

My Favorite (30-years a Java Nut)

 

Brews nearly as good a cup of coffee as a Starbucks french press without the fussy cleanup. I paid full retail at Crate and Barrel and highly recommend this unit as a sweet spot price for value.

Slow percolating option offers a richer coffee flavor: takes 18-22 minutes VS. normal near 10-minutes for full 12 cups water. Patience has it's rewards. Very fine metal screen filter is easy to empty (folding loop handle sits right on top) and clean (...

Fit and finish mixes the black plastic and stainless steel parts that appear more utility than luxury

Design flaw in carafe -> cracks and leaks

 

Has some nice features, but with a serious flaw in the design of the carafe. I've owned two of them (I'm a slow learner) in the past ten months and the same problem occurred with each. With regular use, a crack will form at the bottom of the handle...

Nice features

Cracked carafe makes it worthless - special design does not allow replacement with other brand carafe. It's a safety hazard

Get another model or settle for difficult to clean and 6 cup capacity

Makes farily good coffee at 6 cups. Was inexpensive compared to others. Newegg actually did shipthis. Must've been before the new crew that punishes the buyers for free shipping

Impractical to clean, have to turn it upside down with a sink nozzle hose
