Canon EOS Rebel XS

The Canon EOS Rebel XS costs $200 less than its Editors' Choice-winning sibling, the EOS Rebel XSi , but the only real differences are in its lower resolution and smaller LCD. Indeed, the XS takes beautiful photos, works quickly, and is easy to use....

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS SLR

With the lightest body of any digital EOS camera, the Rebel XS incorporates a range of technologies used in Canon's professional EOS-1 series cameras, including the DIGIC III image processor, and Live View mode. For straight-from-the-box shooting, this...

The 10.1-megapixel CMOS image sensor features larger pixels for smooth, low-noise images. This offers sufficient resolution to produce prints in sizes up to A4, even when cropping your image. To protect images against the effects of sensor dust, the...

Canon EOS Rebel XS

The differences are pretty clear between the two cameras. Buying the Rebel XSi gets you "bigger and better" in most (but not all) areas. The thing is, it doesn't cost you much to get those things. For $70 more you can get the Rebel XSi, which makes...

Very good photo quality, with minimal noise ; Compact body by D-SLR standards (though it's not for everyone) ; Good kit lens, with image stabilization ; Dust reduction system ; Fast performance in most respects ; Live view with contrast detect AF,...

Rebel XSi only costs a little more ; Small, slippery right hand grip ; Very slow contrast detect AF in live view mode; nearly useless in low light ; Live view not available in all shooting modes ; LCD and optical viewfinder both on the small side ;...

All things considered, the Canon EOS Rebel XS is a competent entry-level D-SLR that takes great pictures, and quickly. It's biggest competitor may very well be the Rebel XSi, priced just $70 higher. Thus, it's worth going through the table at the...

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS

Canon have released details on the new Digital Rebel XS, which is something of a "baby brother" to the XSi. Lower pixel count, fewer features - but a lower price too!

Canon EOS Rebel XS

great camera

i would recommend it!

as soon as I've seen few well done pics, I knew I lost a lot of time and cash on those point and shoot camera along the years ; Especially if you do family pics, or business related - it is a much better choice for long term

if you don't know enough of how to play with this camera, too many features would be unused, but this would be user's issue, not camera's

After using point & shoot advanced cameras. The Canon Rebel XS camera captures exceptional photographs without the digital noise, associated with the advanced cameras. The price & delivery from Dell as always, are outstanding.

Kit len only drawback

The kit lens offered by Dell is not an IS (image stabilized) lens such as is pictured in the image. If image stabilization is important to you this camera from Dell is not for you. The newer IS lens is being offered by Canon itself as well as other...
