Huawei Fit review

The Huawei Fit is durable and has accurate heart-tracking, but the user interface needs work.

Huawei Fit

It's becoming increasingly difficult to stand out in a sea of fitness trackers. Really, the Huawei Fit doesn't do much to even try. Its feature set is what you'd expect of a fitness tracker at its price – namely an accelerometer and gyrometer for...

Huawei Fit review

Huawei's fitness tracker screams 'me, too!' in a crowded room

Discreet, traditional look ; Waterproof ; Heart rate and sleep tracking ; Supports stop-and-go workouts

Spotty value for the cost ; Limited functionality compared to competition ; Error-prone interface

The Huawei Fit tries to answer the call for those looking for a simplistic, traditional-looking fitness tracker. There are even a few surprise features included, but the interface isn’t as intuitive as it claims, and slightly pricier competing...

Huawei Fit review: A stylish design isn't enough

Huawei's fitness smartwatch is stylish and has some noteworthy features, but the software falls short of the competition.

The Huawei Fit is lightweight, comfortable to wear, and has week-long battery life. It can track daily activities, including heart rate, and can show notifications from your phone. It can be worn in the shower and while swimming.

The display is dull and touchscreen is difficult to operate when working out. There's no GPS or automatic exercise detection. The Huawei app lacks any sort of social features.

The Huawei Fit is a capable fitness smartwatch, but the software falls short of the competition.

Huawei Fit

The Huawei Fit is a watch-like fitness tracker with an always-on display that tracks calories, distance, heart rate, sleep, steps, and can help you train for a race.

Always-on display. Built-in heart rate sensor. Waterproof. Pushes notifications. Tracks daily activity, calories, distance, and sleep. Helps plan training. Lightweight.

Touch display can accidentally start workouts. Heart rate monitoring is not continuous unless working out. Wide bezel.

The Huawei Fit is available starting today. I'm still in the process of testing it and awaiting a software update, but so far it seems promising for the price. Check back soon for a full review.

Huawei Fit review: An affordable smartwatch with an 8-day battery life

The Huawei Fit fitness tracker and smartwatch doesn't bring much new to the wearables party, but it's affordable and compatible with both Android and iOS. Is it any good? Find out in our Huawei Fit review

There's plenty to like here, from the extremely good battery life and decent water resistance rating to that always-on time display. Heart rate monitors aren't a given in this class of wearable and swim-tracking is an unexpected bonus. And it looks ok,...

Huawei Fit review

Can Huawei's fitness disc mix it up with the big guns?

Days-long battery life ; Comfortable, subtle design ; Waterproof and tough

Fiddly screen and no physical buttons ; Limited fitness modes ; Average heart rate and tracking accuracy ; Muddled app and syncing

A pared-back tracker that looks the part, but Huawei’s disc is the wrong side of reliable to be your go-to fitness aide

Huawei Fit review

The Huawei Fit is like so many other wearables on the market. It's a good device on paper, but ultimately fails to dethrone Fitbit, Garmin and Samsung.

Huawei Fit Review

Last year Huawei burst onto the wearable scene with the launch of the Android Wear-powered Huawei Watch smartwatch. It was a little pricy, granted, and didn't really push the envelope on the Android Wear experience in general, but we couldn't deny that...

Long battery life ; High-visibility screen ; Very comfortable ; Attractive, watch-like design ; Waterproof

Touchscreen controls can be finicky ; Limited interactions available on wearable itself ; Huawei Wear companion app isn't very intuitive ; Other trackers offer more functionality for same (or close to it) money

Huawei's selling the Fit for just about $130, with your choice of two band sizes: 20mm or 18mm. And with either of those options, you can easily swap out the included band for an alternative of your choice. You also have your pick of color, with both...

Huawei Fit review

  (Note Caché)

We've seen a few fitness trackers and smartwatches from Huawei, and not all of them have impressed us. The Huawei Fit is a slimline, lightweight fitness tracker with an LCD screen, but what else has it got to offer? Our expert spent some time with it...
